Our Training Philosophy

Every horse deserves a bespoke training plan, and at Kyrie Arabians we’ll treat your horse like our own.

Our philosophy is to approach every horse individually, recognize their unique strengths and weaknesses, and train them in a division that is suitable for them. Horses, just like all intelligent animals, perform their best when they’re healthy and happy. An important cornerstone to our training is keeping horses comfortable both physically and mentally by creating a natural, stress-free environment for them.

Kyrie Arabians has also partnered with two outside trainers that are integral to our program.

Ted Carson

For the Halter Division, we work with Ted Carson who has inspired our philosophy in conditioning, feed, and basic care of Arabian horses. Ted isn’t your typical halter trainer. He has an extensive history in performance training that gives him a rock-solid foundation that compliments his expertise in halter training.

Karen Monks-Reilly

For our Dressage training, we have the wonderful Karen Reilly. She is an FEI Trainer, USDF Bronze & Silver Medalist, USDF “L” Judge with distinction, and much more. Dressage is a monumental cornerstone to many elements of training Arabians and she understands the nuance of an Arabian horse’s athletic ability that many people may overlook.
